EAT IT!!!

I've got to credit Charlie Sykes and Patrick with finding this story first. If your family is like mine (full of liberals), you need to take this one to Turkey Day with you. It's priceless!

House Republicans have proposed an immediate withdrawal from Iraq, and the Democrats are REALLY hacked off about it! The party that blasted the Iraq war as a bad move are being called to the mat, and now they're eating their words!

As you know, an immediate withdrawal would be pointless. All the gains that have been made in Iraq could be lost. The only valid reason to withdraw right now would be if Iraq truly is the quagmire that the Democrats want us to believe it is, and the only thing to do is cut our losses and run. Of course, there really are gains being made in Iraq. This vote will force the Democrats to admit the one thing they don't want to: Iraq has a future, and it's probably much brighter without Saddam in it. Add this to the constant reminders from the blogosphere that may Democrats voted for the war (before they voted against it), and you've got a lot of really upset lefties on capitol hill.

I'm sure the Democrat machine is working up a suitable counter attack right now. Let's just hope it doesn't come before Thursday. Until then, I'm going to enjoy some well deserved gloating: How does it taste, guys? Maybe you'd like to wash it down with some well-aged French whine?

This is the kind of political move that makes me want to be a politician. I have no patience for the constant butt-kissing, chin-wagging, and posturing. It's the game that I'm all about: hang a guy with his own rope. Let him show you his belly and then stick a fork in it. Can you tell there's a little Machiavelli in me?

Rep. Harold Ford, D-Tenn., charged across the chamber's center aisle screaming that Republicans were making an uncalled-for personal attack. ''You guys are pathetic. Pathetic,'' yelled Rep. Marty Meehan, D-Mass.
