I went over to city hall this morning to pay my property taxes. While in line, I joked with the woman in front of me that West Allis should issue me a "Parade Refund" for the five or six days that I don't have access to my street. She smiled and said, "I live on 'Candy Cane Lane'."

Most of West Allis is "pretty close to each other."
I walked to city hall this morning.
You may not have gotten your parade credit, but you did get your lottery credit that should provide some relief to your tax burden?... didn't you??... or did you even notice the ~$50 credit??.... That gives you about $0.003438475/M assessed value.
The credit was $98, I think. It almost kept me from having to write a check to the city.
I swear, they must've called the bank to find out how much was in the escrow.
