Blog of Interest #4
Patrick gets the Blog of Interest award this week, for his blog on a pair of teens that stole a car, ran from police, and wound up one teen fewer.
Patrick has seen a lot of activity on this blog, because the friends of the kids found it. The kids have blasted Patrick for his views, and have repeatedly defended the actions of the driver. I've found it to be an interesting reminder of just how small our world is at age 14.

I left the comments shaking my head over the lack of literacy of those teenagers. Products of "gummint-run skoolz" no doubt. And full of bad attitudes.
I am amazed at how that single post has become some sort of a shrine to these kids. As of this posting, it has had 151 responses from friends and even some family members. I thought about shutting it down soon after it became "popular", but they seem to want the outlet, so I let them have it.
I agree with Peter, many make little sense to me, the spelling and grammar would be obscene to an English teacher and the attitudes that some present are asinine at best. But they seem to enjoy the chance to do it, so, have at it.
Patrick,
His birthday is coming up.
Perhaps a new blog is in order?
Products of "gummint-run skoolz" no doubt.
Patrick said the kids are from Waukesha. I see the literacy issue as more a product of the IM generation.
These kids are used to chatting online and text messaging. They don't seem to realize that Patrick's blog is slightly more sophisticated, and uses a different set of short hand.
It is fun to watch affluent suburbanite kids try to talk hip-hop LOL
