What's Wrong With You People?
One of the things that I've noticed about blogging is that you never know what is going to get people interested. Political topics seem to go over like a lead balloon most of the time. I've seen it on this blog and many others, a heart-felt political commentary often goes without comment or mention. And, if you live-blog Charlie Sykes he'll mention everyone else's blog on the same topic without noticing you, even though you were mentioned in most of the other blogs.
If you post something completely pointless, however, it'll get snatched up before you know it. My most successful post recently was the one where I lampooned the format change at WLZR. Who would've thought that would generate a discussion?

The hog sucks I believe you may turn this to theory.
The most traffic I have ever had to a single post was when I live-blogged the Super Bowl commercials last year. At the time I didn't allow comments on my blog, but for about two weeks I was getting several hundred hits a day on that one post, mainly from search engine hits.
I can't wait to do it again this year, I really had fun doing it!
You need some marketing and business skills. Location, location, location... how do you find that on the www? Otherwise sex always seems to sell...
