The Big News
Jenna (Right Off the Shore) and I recorded an audio blog this week. It's about 1/2 hour long and will "air" as soon as I get her final approval.
When we recorded it, I was sure that the technical difficulties were going ruin us. Surprisingly, it sounds good, and I actually only had to clip about two minutes because of lame content and Jenna's foul mouth.
I think it sounds pretty good for our first attempt. We will have to be careful next time not to drink or surf the internet while we're doing this!
Some of the bloggers that I regularly converse with may get a special "press screening" later tonight.
Update: Another technical glitch. The "press screening" was too much traffic for my file host. I need to find a new place to put my junk. Please offer any tips!

I just sent you an e-mail about this, Aaron. I love it!! I listened to it twice. This was an excellent idea, and I think you should continue with this. Definitely.
As I told you, I believe you chose an excellent person to talk with you on these issues. Jenna is brilliant, amazing, and you two have started something that people WILL want to hear. I have no doubt about that. You're both opinionated, have a great sense of humor, very intelligent, and you're both involved in the political scene, although in very different ways, and those differences, along with the personality differences, the difference in the way you deliver your ideas, etc. make for an interesting combination.
I'm very impressed, and I especially liked the parts where you discussed affirmative action, and Cindy Sheehan. (and, well... I have to admit, the Conan O'Brien part too... ;-) I love him, he's hilarous!)
Very nice job! I hope you'll continue with this.
I haven't had a chance to hear it all, but it has been fun :)
We need to get together on what software and hardware you are using if this will be a regular thing. It tended to cut out at times. I think the audio quality can be booted, but remember that will also increase file size. Good quality audio can get large.
That being said, the content is good and we all know how much you wanted to be a radio star :)
Yeah & Patrick denies he is the Cheddarsphere's technical wonk.
Case closed.
I am PISSED I am not an insider!
Seriously, great concept!

You would've been, except that I was working from a different machine. You're not on the contact list on this one, yet.
If you are really serious and willing to pay about $5 a month, you could go with a site like Liberated Syndication http://www.libsyn.com or Audioblog http://www.audioblog.com/
There are probably free alternatives as well, I haven't really dug into podcasting hosts, but I do enjoy podcasts.
The problem with podcasts is as you seen, they are quite a drain on bandwidth and the file sizes are quite large, unless you have a lot like on the host I use, you will run into these problems like you had this morning :)
BTW, check your mail Aaron :)
podOmatic http://podomatic.com/ has a free account that gives you about 30 minutes a week... Not a lot, but the price is right. You can also pay to get a full account as well.
30 minutes a week...
That's all we're looking for. I'll check it out.
Fred -- no worries -- we have our weekly special...
Ours is cooler than theirs.
na-na-na-na-na-na.
