Finally, I Heard it First

There's a humorous anecdote that's going around right now. Ted Kennedy is writing a childen's book, about his dog Splash.

Yes, it's a funny name for a dog. But, Bob & Brian had this story years ago. The 2002 Album, Horrifying Zubaz, has a guest appearance from Ted Perry, where he describes his meeting with Ted Kennedy.

Ted explains that he was named after the senator, and happened to get the chance to meet him on a trip to Washington. After the introduction, the senator introduced his dog "Splash." The story is hilarious, because Ted says he went blank after being introduced to the dog. He immediately thought, "Oh, the same sound that Mary Jo made after she hit the water..."

Of course, Bob and Brian go on to suggest alternate names for the dog: Oswald and Surhan.
