French Fried
Patrick beat me to this.
The French are threatening to use nuclear weapons in the war on terrorism.
Mr Chirac said leaders of states who would "use terrorist means against us, just like anyone who would envisage using, in one way or another, arms of mass destruction, must understand that they would expose themselves to a firm and adapted response from us".
Leaders of any states? Before you go pushing the button, France, it would help if you admitted that there actually is state sponsored terrorism and maybe enforced a sanction or two. Just a thought.

5 Amendments:
Can you imagine the look on Osama's face when he heard that? Yeah, that is terrifying. Coming from a guy who won't even act to stop the rioting in his own backyard, but he's going to nuke the terrorists? MmmHmmm Right.
That reminds me... I've got something I wanted to say about that turd.
Perhaps tomorrow.
Perhaps the UN should start a food for oil program with Iran. Then would Mr. Chirac change his position? Or did he get sufficient oil barrel equivelents for personal use from the Iraq oil for food program? Perhaps 7 million barrels of oil at today's price was enough for him to retire and now he can act like a real world leader?
Or perhaps since France does not have any commercial dealings with Iran for defense products like they do with Iraq, Mr. Chirac can stand up.
Un-ethical dealings seem to cloud your ability act in a consistent and moral manner. Seems like there are no clouds over Iran. (Unlike there are with France/Iraq).
Given that the French army won't fight behind a general that they can't shoot over, perhaps nuclear weapons are their only defense.
