Movie Review: Underworld - Evolution
This was my choice! And, I'll be the first to tell you it's a pointless movie. But, that's what I wanted to see on Friday night: cool weapons, blood, explosions, rockin' sound track, hot women in leather (hot naked women, BONUS!)... Oh yeah, and vampires. We put off seeing Hostel to see this, because I was in the mood for some shooting and loud music.
We went into the wrong theater and saw the last forty minutes first. We always miss the beginning of every movie, so we just sat down and watched, assuming we were in the right theater. The reason we never noticed theat the movie was so far along is because the overall sequence of events is short to begin with and there are lots of flashbacks. I told Kelly we could skip the beginning if she wanted because we'd seen the good parts and I'd managed to figure out everything we missed. She still wanted to see the rest, so we asked the theater to let us stay and watch the entire thing. We would've missed some really messy scenes and the naked part if we'd gone home after seeing the last half of the movie. So, at least we had that going for us.
You've got to understand that it's imperative for me to see these types of movies. When I was in school I spent my time playing Battletech, Shadowrun, Vampire, Rifts, and D&D instead of studying. I may not be able to write a ten page thesis on water quality in Bolivia, but I can still play a mean Malkavian!
