Funny Thing About Blogging
In case you haven't noticed, I'm one of those people that talks to strangers. Here's a good example why:
Here in the blogosphere, this personality trait has created something entirely different. My comments stick around, and so do the people I say them to. Like you, I have yet to decide whether this is a good thing. I first noticed that people were getting to know me when Patrick referred to me as "a friend of mine." That phrase seemed odd to me, because we've never met. But, then what should he have called me: this guy I know who's just getting his blog started and has been a frequent visitor to my blog? "A friend of mine" suits me just fine in Patrick's case. Now, Jenna on the other hand...
- My poor blog has been neglected. A co-worker of mine who was at one of Milwaukee's turd plants a couple weeks ago told me that someone down there said that I had to get back on the stick and start blogging again.
So I'm going to get caught up with what's going on in the blogosphere. I'm way behind on all the current events, and there's some interesting stuff going on in the state of Cheeseland.
Congratulations to Aaron and Jenna for successfully getting their podcasting off the ground. I listened to their latest this morning, and I was more than entertained. Hopefully they will invite me for a guest shot sometime! - Larry

2 Amendments:
Yeah, I can think of a few other phrases that I could have used ;-)
What you may not realize is that those comments intended for your personal amusement often are amusing to others.
When the receiver returns the amusing remark and it is not acknowledged by the originator, it is killed in that moment.
Thus a the life of an amusing remark creates a connection which is later broken simply because it was not remembered by the originator.
