Has this Blog Fad Finally Jumped the Shark?
Is it just me, or has the Cheddarsphere lost its edge lately? I realize that I've been gone for a week, but things have felt... well... different lately.
On my own blog, the text content has been steadily slipping. I place the blame mostly on the podcasting, which seems to be taking off. So, to heck with the text, I say. Look around at other blogs, though. Are we suffering a slow cycle or what? No news? Summer jitters?
Even the blogfather and fairy blogmother seem to have lost interest in us. Charlie Sykes hasn't updated his blogroll to fix (or remove) my old site address and Jessica McBride seems to have let Belle slip through the cracks. Forget Belle? How is that even possible???
Oh well. Even if our days are numbered I'm not ready to pack it in. My blog is my favorite way to amuse myself. Readership is an added bonus.

Speak for yourself... my traffic is actually going up. Not by a lot mind you... but some.
But I agree with Phel... summer time is never good for blog traffic. Something about people liking the outdoors, fresh air, and warmth, or some such nonsense.
