Traffic Advisory for Thursday
If you're in a hurry, tomorrow is a good day to avoid West Allis. In particular, stay away from Greenfield to National and 84th to 70 something.
The city is throwing not one, but probably two traffic halting parades tomorrow. If I'm reading thing right, the first one will appear at some random time (I can't find an official start time) and it is intended to celebrate the fact that the city is older this year.
The second parade is at 6pm and is the start of the annual Western Days event. If you're like me, you're wondering what West Allis has to do with "Western" anything. My theory is that Billy the Kid ate lunch here once, possibly at Johnny V's or Crawdaddy's, and left a big tip.
