My Sheriff Can Beat Up Your Sheriff

In case you haven't heard, Sheriff Clarke personally pulled over a car that was driving erratically this week. As it turns out, the car was being steered by a five year-old riding in his father's lap.

The sheriff was on his way to a scheduled appearance, but saw fit to take time out of his busy day to take care of business. You might not think much of it, because you see the Sheriff as just another cop. But how often to you see people in a managerial position actually getting their hands dirty? Do you think this is a typical response for a "big city" Sheriff?

This Sheriff has shown us time and again that he cares about the community. And, contrary to popular opinion, Sheriff Clarke is a worthy role model for other African Americans. It's a shame that none of the black "leadership" can see it.

I love Sheriff Clarke. I wish we had more people in public service who were like him.

And my Pa used to let me pretend I was driving. It's so sad that we're taking all that imagination out of childhood.
