Funny How Things Work Out

There's no denying it, blogging has changed me. Whether it's a good change depends on who you talk to. At the very least, my blogging persona expresses a side of my personality that used to be very suppressed. What you see here used to be the part of me that would only show on a rare occasion, when everything was going my way.

Kelly still doesn't understand why I enjoy being around my "internet people" so much. I don't think she realized how awesome and unique this Cheddarsphere community is until today. I've looked around a little bit. I haven't found another blog community that functions the way we do. There's something special about Wisconsin blogging.

The evidence is obvious, in my traffic and comments of the past few hours (less than a day!). I wrote this comment to Brian Fraley, which I think really shows how strangely this universe works.

Granted, the baby would've found a way to be here anyway. My kids are going to be so much smarter than me.

But, this blog, the podcast, and this amazing display of support all go back to an impulse decision, the luck of the draw, and three minutes on a bar stool. None of you would be here for me without it!

I'm really overwhelmed by this. I have no idea why anyone continues to read this blog sometimes, but you do anyway.
