Your Voice Sounds Familiar

I was fortunate enough to be invited to a huge event honoring Joel Kleefisch this evening. The guest list included Mark Green, Scott Walker, Dan Vrakas, and a bus load of state representatives. For most of the time actually chatting with everyone was difficult because it was so hard to hear over all the background noise. But, I was glad to at least shake hands with many of them.

The best moment of the evening for me was when Dennis Krueger introduced himself, did a double-take and said "I know your voice." The audio equivalent of "I've seen you somewhere before." The other bloggers who heard it all looked at me and a few chuckled.

Later on, Dan Vrakas approached me and made a similar comment. It's a very strange feeling to be recognized like that. Stranger still, I think, because I'm not being recognized by appearance.
