This week's guest is Peter (Texas Hold 'Em Blogger). Jenna decided that she wanted to host a debate between Peter and myself over the gay marriage amendment.
I haven't had debate class in years and neither one of us is solidly on one side of the issue. So, this is definately not a debate in the academic sense. It was a good discussion and many good points were brought up.

A quick note about your worries about adoption.
I'm just about to go through the process myself. It's rigorous, requiring several interviews, references, medical reports, and even a mini autobiography. My guess is that any couple who doesn't want to parent out of a genuine desire to love and nurture a child wouldn't get close to approval.
Also, right now there's no bar on adoption for gay people. What's currently not allowed is second-parent adoption, so couples often have to spend some serious money to secure rights and responsibilities for the non-legal parent.
