President Bush is Destroying the Environment
Wait a minute... He's NOT! He's signed a bill to help restore the Great Lakes.
Do you suppose a republican president will get any credit for signing environmentally friendly legislation? I imagine that the activists will say that this bill doesn't go far enough and George Bush is destroying the environment by spending too little.

Nixon signed the EPA into being.
Probably the most hated Republican ever.
I don't think that he got any credit for that.
Actually, overall the republicans have done more for the environment than the democrats ever did. That makes me wonder why in the world the republicans don't advertise their good deeds more. Is it the media who won't give them the space to tell their side?
Oh yeah, and both the media and the Sierra Club go around blaming Bush even when he does good things, like allowing lumbering of trees below a certain diameter as well as getting rid of underbrush in the redwood forests. According to the Sierra Club's propaganda machine you'd think there were thousands of redwoods being cut down with the approval of the Bush administration, which is a LIE. I live near there and I know it's a LIE.
The Bush administration has also approved more road building into remote forests, which the environmentalists scream and yell about. But the reason is valid. It's to be able to get fire fighting equipment in there when there's a conflagration. And the roads are carefully surveyed so the water tables and stream run-off is not affected.
So there's another lie. It surely makes me wonder what other issues they lie about or twist into their own agenda.
