Daddy, Why is the Sky Blue?

    ... It was cheaper.

... The people voted, and more than half of them are idiots.

... Your mother and I couldn't agree on a color, so we left it the way the previous owner liked it.

... When I was your age, it was almost black. It's faded now because of global warming.

... Angels turn blue and explode when sunlight hits them.

... It doesn't look blue to me. Are you sure we're looking at the same thing?

... A more important question should occur to you: How come we can send tin foil to the moon, but we can't put it in the microwave?

    I can't wait to be a father.

We're going to need a child psychologist on speed dial.

Sounds like what Calvin's father would say in Calvin and Hobbes:

Calvin: What does the sun move East to West?
    Father: Solar wind.

    Calvin: Dad, what makes wind?
    Father: Trees sneezing

Make sure you always have magic markers way out of reach. Ever seen what a small child can do when they decide it's "makeup"? I have pictures! :)

The reason we can't put tin foil in the microwave is because tin is too expensive, and not ductile enough, for us to have access to tin foil. The reason we can't put aluminum foil in the microwave is that is serves as an antenna for the microwaves.

triticale, you are aware that you can use aluminum foil in a microwave right? Small strips to cover areas cooking too fast has been safe for just over a decade or so.
