Make sure you always have magic markers way out of reach. Ever seen what a small child can do when they decide it's "makeup"? I have pictures! :)
The reason we can't put tin foil in the microwave is because tin is too expensive, and not ductile enough, for us to have access to tin foil. The reason we can't put aluminum foil in the microwave is that is serves as an antenna for the microwaves.
The geek quotient on this post is astounding!
triticale, you are aware that you can use aluminum foil in a microwave right? Small strips to cover areas cooking too fast has been safe for just over a decade or so.
