November Surprise
Today the DOT recommended an increase in registration and licensing fees.
If this takes effect (odds are it will) the fee to register a car increases to $80 (+$25, +46%) per year and new drivers licenses will cost $34 (+$10, +42%).
Write it down. This is the first tax increase of Jim Doyle's second term, which hasn't officially started yet!
If you're one of "those people" who doesn't believe fees are taxes, write me and let me know what month you renew your plates. I want to see how you feel when you get the bill.
