Subject to Change

I’ve been flagging dozens of blogs about Ann Coulter’s “faggot” comment. My intent was to provide more commentary on how I feel about Ann. But, to be honest, I’d rather be talking about Anna Nicole Smith.

I just wanted to point out that conservatives do make an effort to distance themselves from one of their own when he or she screws up royally. I know that the liberal blogosphere has issued challenges on occasion, for the right to speak out against some crackpot in our midst.

Well, here it is. It’s fairly evident that many people on the conservative side of the blogosphere find Ann Coulter annoying and embarassing.

One more thing: one of my commenters suggested that she’s got some extraordinary research skills. I just wanted to point out that I own one of her books and managed to get a few pages into it before giving up. With a Lexus Nexus account and a good memory, anyone could be the next Ann Coulter. I’ve never heard her say anything that I would consider insightful or new.

The one thing she does have is a big mouth and thick skin to go with it. That’s why she’s able to make a spectacle of her self over and over again without cracking.

We conservatives really need to stop letting this bimbo speak for us. She’s not helping “the cause.”
