Subject to Change

Jib has finally followed through on his threat to end the BBA.

I really enjoyed being a member, but I understand why he did it. There aren’t many group blogs out there. It’s a difficult to manage, especially when members have their own blogs to promote.

I’ve been struggling with my own blog lately. There was a time when I was attempting to manage a handful of blogs of my own and I was often tapped as the blogsitter for much of the Cheddarsphere. Do you remember seeing my posts at Leaning Blue, The American Mind, Right Off the Shore, and No Runny Eggs? I don’t know where I found that kind of energy.

The spark is still there for me, it’s just a matter of time and energy. If this blog would take dictation I bet you’d see a lot more posted here!

“Haiku for the Holidays“

This one made me laugh.

So, there’s this shameless promotion going on at some other Wisconsin blog. It appears to be working quite nicely. I’ll go ahead and throw my hat in the ring by saying what I can about Elliot Stearns.

Most notably, the man sure blogs a lot for a fictional character. I’m beginning to wonder how he manages to keep engaged, with as busy as his life seems to be.

From Where I Sit has been a favorite of mine since I first started blogging. Elliot discovered me during my early days and we exchanged light-hearted remarks back and forth. He is highly favored among my internet people.

On his blog Elliot has a rule that no comment should be more entertaining than the original post, but his brevity leaves everything so wide open to the most sarcastic among us. It’s so hard to resist going over there to exchange a few jabs once in a while. 

I see traffic coming in lately from sidebars on other blogs, which means I’m part of somebody’s regular rounds. Considering that posting has been spare around here I’m really happy to see it.

Thanks a bunch, whoever you are!  And, here’s another blog that’s trying to get back on its feet. Stop by and say “hello.”

I tried to leave a comment on this post, but Haloscan is acting up this morning. (Conspiracy!!!)

I just wanted to let you know that with basic access to the interwebs, you too can be an elitist snob. Do you want ones or fives? How about going fancy with some two dollar bills?

Wrapping presents with uncut bills: Idiotic, maybe. Elitist, not so much.

You’re usually pretty good at fact checking everyone else’s rants. What happened?

If I were part of the driving force behind last year’s Citizen Blog Summit I’d consider trying to beat Wispolitics to the punch.
