The results are in. This was a tough race, with an incumbent. I’m glad that I was able to help out.
You’ll still be Alderman Dooley to this blog, Fred.

I spent the evening at the Dooley for Alderman kickoff party.
Some of you may ask what interest I, a blogger from West Allis, have in a Racine aldermanic race. Of course you know that “Unkie Fred” is a fellow blogger, and someone that I respect very much. But, there’s more to it than that.
For one thing, I may be in Fred’s shoes one day. I’m not actively seeking a place in politics right now, but I’m always open to a challenge. If the right moment came along, I’m sure I’d jump at the chance.
That’s what Fred has done. I think that he realized that nobody in Racine’s city hall wanted to do things Fred Dooley’s way. So, he took it upon himself to see that Fred Dooley and others like him are properly represented.
I don’t think this is the last stop for Unkie Fred. I suspect that Fred is the type of person who will continue to move up in the political world. Assemblyman Dooley and Congressman Dooley have a nice ring to them.
I support Dooley for Alderman because I one day hope to support Dooley for Wisconsin.

This is an opportunity to show up in support of a fellow blogger who’s trying on a new suit. We know that Fred is highly involved in Racine politics. He deserves the opportunity to work for the people of his district.
